Logo tfrdThe Cameroonian NGO TF-RD (Tropical Forest and Rural Development), created in 2005, works on the northern outskirts of the Dja Biosphere Reserve in Cameroon. As part of its objective of protecting the Reserve, it helps farmers intensify cocoa production and develop non-timber forest products in the area. TF-RD works with 160 farmers in the area, including 50 women, supports their organization into cooperatives and builds their technical capacities.

camgewCAMGEW (Cameroon Gender and Environment Watch) is a Cameroonian NGO created in 2007. It carries out projects to protect biodiversity while strengthening the capacities of local communities, especially those of women and young people. Its objective is to protect Kilum Ijim forests as a whole by developing beekeeping. http://camgew.com


The NGO AAFEBEN works in the eastern outskirts of the Dja Biosphere Reserve with 10 community forests. It supports 10 groups comprising of 350 women from the Baka (Pygmies) and Bantu ethnic groups to collect and sell forest products such as wild mangoes and Moabi. It aims primarily to encourage women entrepreneurship projects with a focus on on ethnic minorities.

erudefThe Cameroonian NGO ERuDeF (the Environment and Rural Development Foundation) has been created in 1999. Its mission is to conserve biodiversity and to protect sensitive ecosystems through research, training, education and community involvement.


AYITIKA SA is a social enterprise created in 2001 in Haiti. Its objective is to contribute to the sustainable development of agro-industrial sectors. It aims to strengthen the competitiveness of Haitian sectors, and in particular the cocoa, while preserving biodiversity and local ecosystems. 


PUPUK (Perkumpulan Untuk Peningkatan Usaha Kecil, in English: the association for advancement of small business) is an independent non-profit organization established in 1979. Its purpose is to stand for small businesses’ interests, as well as to develop integrated small business empowerment activities in all sectors of the economy.


The Malaysian Nature Society (MNS) has been a pioneer for conservation in the country since its creation in 1940, due to its actions for housing environments’ conservation and environmental education. The efforts deployed by its members, its partners and its supporters transformed MNS into a platform renowned for the protection of the natural heritage of Malaysia. MNS works hard to ensure that this heritage and the wealth of the Malaysian biological diversity are protected, well managed and kept by and for the local communities. https://www.mns.my/index.php


The association Amanar was set up in 2009 under the Moroccan law and supports small farmers to develop local products (argan, honey, cactus, saffron, rose, aromatic and medicinal plants, date palm), and their natural and cultural heritage (namely Berber heritage).

harembeeCreated in 2010, the French NGO Gazelle Harambee aims to help the most vulnerable people on the African continent, to support and promote their sustainable development projects with respect for people, their culture and the environment. Logo EnvolVertCreated in 2011, Envol Vert is a French association whose goal is to protect forests and biodiversity in the planet’s most disadvantaged countries as well as in France. They work in partnership with local communities, supporting their conservation projects and helping them to develop new economic alternatives to deforestation. http://envol-vert.org/en/

prasadPRASAD Chikitsa is a Public Charitable Trust, registered in India, and it is a licensee of The PRASAD Project, a Non-Government Organization (NGO) in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. PRASAD works in a catchment area of 25 kms radius of its head office in Ganeshpuri. This area has a population of approximately 200,000 people. The organization supports these rural communities by providing medical care (a hospital and a mobile medical clinic) and community development, including organic farming. https://www.prasadchikitsa.org
