Since its creation in 2010, Man & Nature has managed to bring together and mobilize companies by involving them on field projects and by increasing their awareness about issues surrounding natural ingredients chains improvement (sustainability, traceability, fairness). Thanks to them, Man & Nature participates in biodiversity conservation and improvement of local communities living conditions.

As an aromatic raw materials producer, Albert Vieille has been involved in Peru to support the communities of Veinte de Enero to produce aguaje essential oil that meets international quality requirements while contributing to resource conservation.

 

 


Logo ChanelChanel Parfums Beauté supported different projects in Burkina Faso, Cameroon and Cambodia between 2012 and 2015. The partnership with Man & Nature confirmed the company's commitment, by contributing to biodiversity conservation and local communities’ development. In 2016 and 2017, the company decided to support the protection of a corridor in Southern Burkina Faso. The objective is to support the protection of elephant using this corridor and to develop income-generating activities (shea butter) with the women.

The constructor Maisons Comeca has supported the reforestation of a forest corridor in Nicaragua.

By offsetting its carbon emissions, the company has fought against climate change and has contributed to conservation of the exceptional biodiversity that can be found in this frail tie between North and South America.

 


Logo ErolTo face overexploitation of forest resources near the Saloum Delta National Park in Senegal, Erol Foundation supports since 2015 a women entrepreneurship project. 
The creation of sustainable agricultural networks for 1,200 women in the region provides them with a complementary income source while contributing to reducing the pressure on the park's emblematic species. 


logo lushLush, a hand-made cosmetics company, supports Man & Nature in its action on vanilla value chain in northern Madagascar and ylang ylang essential oil on Nosy Be island. Lush’s support helps structure the subsectors, improve the quality of the products and provide economic benefits to the local populations, while contributing to the conservation of Madagascar's rich biodiversity.

In 2016, Givenchy, a subsidiary of LVMH, supported Man & Nature and its partner the social company Ayitika in Haiti to implement anti-erosion installations in the fields of vetiver producers, to increase the sustainability and the remuneration of their cultures. 

 


maisonsdumondeBack in 2010, support from Maisons du Monde allowed Man & Nature to start its activities, based on the "kick start project" principle: the company supports the first year of a selected project and Man & Nature generates interest from other contributors to ensure further funding. Maisons du Monde has supported many projects developed and implemented by Man & Nature in partnership with local NGOs, all around the World: in Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Nepal, Cambodia, Cameroon, Ghana, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Senegal, Kenya, Madagascar, Zambia, Colombia, Peru, Equator and Nicaragua. Their employees are also taking part in "solidarity leaves" on projects sites supported by Man & Nature


logo maneMane Foundation supports the production of a new fragrance ingredient by enhancing a plant from Cameroon, following the Nagoya Protocol on Access and Benefit Sharing. This program is considered as a pilot project by the Ministry of Environment in Cameroon, since its inception in 2011. 


MELVITA LOGOMelvita has committed to support a solidarity project in Morocco since 2015, by training women in beekeeping in the Morocco's Argan forests. This projects meets two concerns: generating new incomes and restoring bees’ population in Sahara, as these bees play a crucial role in maintaining local ecosystems.

 


Phytodess LogoFrom 2013 to 2016, Phytodess, a brand of Dessange group, has been supporting Man & Nature in the island of Nosy Be, Madagascar. The brand is demonstrating that it is possible to protect an exceptional site by developing a sustainable production of ylang ylang that contributes to biodiversity conservation and improvement of local populations living conditions. Since 2017, Phytodess is supporting villagers in Burkina Faso to produce Balanites oil and to protect the forest in the area.

In Madagascar, Pure trade supports since 2014 the conservation of the Great Bamboo Lemur, an highly endangered primate species, by contributing to the development of 3 villages surrounding Ranomafana famous National Park.

Sisley logoSisley Foundation supports the women of the Baka communities (Pygmy) in south-eastern Cameroon.
The project aims to develop sustainable economic sectors by helping them in the processing and marketing of the products collected in the forest. It seeks to create synergy between human development and protection of Cameroonian tropical forests.

From 2013 to 2016, the fragrance designer Technicoflor supported the quality improvement of mint and chamomile essential oils produced by local communities at the border of Bardia National Park in Nepal. It contributed directly to human-animal conflicts resolution, while diversifying production and generating new incomes.
